Sizzling British Turkey Breakfast Bagels

Ready in 15 minutes 

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 375g turkey Breast Mince (2% fat)

  • 1 small red onion finely chopped 

  • 3 cloves of garlic

  • ½ tsp black pepper 

  • ½ tsp  mixed herbs

  • ½ tsp chilli flakes

  • 1 tbsp all purpose seasoning

  • 4 sesame bagels

  • 4 eggs 

  • ½ Avocado 

  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil for cooking for the beetroot coleslaw 

  • 4 small beetroot roughly grated 

  • 1 tbsp natural Greek yogurt

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the turkey mince, onion, garlic, all purpose seasoning, herbs, chilli, salt and pepper not. Combine well with your hands then shape into 4 flat burger patties. Placing in the fridge for 10 minutes

  2. Meanwhile roughly grate the beetroot into a bowl, add a drop of apple cider vinegar, pinch of salt and pepper before the Greek yogurt and combining with a spoon

  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a high heat, then cook the burgers for 3 mins each side or until cooked through. 

  4. In a separate frying pan fry 4 eggs ( and some bacon if you fancy) to top your turkey burger with. 

  5. Toast the bagels . Place the coleslaw on the bottom halves of the warm bagels, then top with a fried egg sunny side up and sliced avocado.
